LegoDigit is carving out a prominent position in the book industry thanks to the attention to quality and consolidated working methods

LegoDigit is a digital printing company founded in 2013 in Lavis, in the province of Trento (Italy), focused on producing books with digital inkjet web printing.

"We wanted to create a new, dynamic, and independent entity that could provide fast solutions to the growing demand for short-run publishing products," says Alessandro Leto, CEO of LegoDigit.

"We have turned technological innovation into our workhorse. We are small but think like a big company, leveraging 120 years of book production expertise from the Olivotto Group."

"We have grown in turnover volume and technology within a few years, from digital web printing in black and white to four-color lines capable of printing even on very thin paper."

CHALLENGE

"We needed a three-knife trimmer with a fast format changeover to handle short-run production, but that could concurrently perform well in longer-run productions."

SOLUTION

"Meccanotecnica’s three-knife trimmer is the ideal machine in this respect: by reading the datamatrix, it can change the format in zero time, and in medium runs, it can produce almost 2,000 copies per hour."

RESULTS

"We chose Meccanotecnica as our finishing solutions partner because we appreciate their distinguishing characteristics: their professional staff, reliable machinery, and close cooperation with technical support."
